A Celtic tribe lives relatively peacefully under Roman rule, but tensions boil over between the invaders and those in the tribe who desire freedom.

But the tribe harbours a terrible secret, both a curse and a blessing. For in desperate times, when their existence is threatened, a champion may come forward and sacrifice themself to the wolf spirit. In doing so they become an unstoppable monster of rage and blood, to be unleashed on the tribe's enemies.
